Del Taco Restaurants Inc.

Del Taco started out in 1964 in California. The founders, Ed Hackbarth and David Jameson, opened up the restaurant to a long line of customers. Immediate success led them to open more branches in different parts of the state. They also expanded their menu to include burritos and other items. They started franchising which helped accelerate growth.

Today, there are well over 500 locations across the US. The founders have since sold the business to a group of investors. Despite a few setbacks, the business is bigger than ever continuing to open in different cities. Guests crave for their hard and soft shell tacos. Their burritos, quesadillas, nachos, cheeseburgers, fries, and shakes are also big sellers.
